Part of the Global Production operation based in London, responsible for subbing copy for pricing reports, news and related products to the set standards and deadlines.
Duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with the editorial and translating teams in Shanghai, and the global subbing team:
Sub pricing reports, news and related products’ copy so that it reads well, makes sense to the reader,is accurate, complies with legal requirements, is free of literals and is grammatically correct.
Work with the translation team and provide feedback, assistance and support to improve quality
Provide feedback, assistance and support to the editorial teams.
Write eye-catching headlines, standfirsts and captions.
Ensure copy is fit for the web.
Ensure that the Style Guide is followed.
Ensure that all deadlines are met.
Assist in the production of various daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly ICIS reports as required
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal English
Fluent in verbal Mandarin, with written skills an advantage
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Sub quickly while maintaining accuracy
Able to work well under pressure
Proven track record in subbing for the web
Ability to manage and motivate people
Ability to prioritise work
Ability to manage time effectively High attention to detail
