Title: Graphic Designer
Studio: Signage & Way-Finding / Marketing
Reports to: Graphics/Brand Manager
Pay Status: Exempt
Summary: This position is responsible for providing graphic design services for Signage & Way-Finding / Marketing. This experienced graphic design professional will work closely with the Graphics/Brand Manager and collaborate with Marketing and Communications team members and studio/practice leaders to develop creative graphic solutions while ensuring quality and consistency of materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
· Work on signage & way-finding system design, interior & exterior.
· Designs and produces a wide range of marketing materials including presentations, announcements, brochures and web components using PowerPoint, graphic boards, proposals, charts, graphs or other media,.
· Develops collateral material and templates, working within an established system.
· Interprets and applies brand standards consistently to all materials produced.
· Collaborates with internal clients to develop graphic design approaches for materials, programs, and presentations necessary to accomplish marketing/business plan goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field.
· Three years experience in signage & way-finding design in an architecture or interior design company.
· Five years graphics experience in a marketing/communications related environment.
· Demonstrated creativity and strong conceptual and visual communications skills.
· Advanced typography, print production and preflight skills.
· Advanced knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint required. Knowledge of Flash and Director a plus.
· Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
· Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
· Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements/ Work Environment:
· Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching
· Ability to perform consistent work on PC.
