Dues to its fast expansion in China, they are currently looking for a high caliber individual to fill the following position: China General Manager - Based in Shanghai THE POSITION The China General Manager will have strategic importance within the of the Chinese professional and consumer automotive detailing sector. Reporting to: Director of International Sales, based in UK. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Region Management § Responsible for strategy planning and implementation, P&L, sales, marketing, financial, contractual and technical analysis of China business. § Initiating and leading sales & marketing projects in the China, including setting budgets and revenue targets for the region in collaboration with the board at the Headquarters. § Working with marketing team to develop appropriate marketing plan for the region. § Developing and maintaining positive liaisons with governments, industry and external contacts. § Working closely with distributors as part of the business. § Keep the board fully apprised of developments
Dealer Channel Development and Management. § Working closely with main distributor while creating new sales channels and leading potential strategic partnerships to continue growing business in the region year-on-year § Responsible for setting up criteria and processes for evaluation of existing distributor in closely cooperation with management team at headquarter . § Take a strong hands-on approach to the implementation on selected strategy to evaluate and establish new distributor relationships. § Working closely, motivating and supporting the network and established partnerships to ensure maximization of their performance. Visiting key clients alongside them.
Business Development & Projects § Drive increasing volumes in the region. Show sustainable growth. § Identify and develop new business opportunities, sales channels and potential strategic partnerships to strive the growth within the region across industry sectors (eg. online media sales and marketing) § Responsible for selection and recruitment of additional people to support a growing sales hub. § Managing supply chain’s operations, including setting up and management of a localized warehouse and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction high rates and a smooth operation in the region.
PERSON SPECIFICATION (Essential Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills) § Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemical or Business related major. MBA is an advantage. § Excellent communication skills.Fluency in English and Chinese is a must. Good command of any other Asian language will be an advantage. § Sales and goal-oriented. Rational, consistent, independent and high levels of integrity. § Engaged, passionate, hands-on and open for a long term commitment; sound man-management experience, able to motivate and lead. Entrepreneur, enjoying building up and settling up, eager, precise, persistent, able to deal and establish relationship, deal maker. § Open to travel frequently, around 40-60%
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE § Solid experience in automotive or automotive aftermarket. Refinishing products, Coatings, Polishing or Automotive Detailing sector experience (including tooling and machinery) will be an advantage . § Strong experience on technical sales management techniques, training, marketing and bidding processes within the industry. § Proven track record of developing and managing dealership networks throughout China. § Effective project management, negotiating, planning and business development skills.. |
