About Chongqing Foreign Language School |
We are urgently seeking two experienced ESL/Subject teachers to work full-time at a prestigious American Advanced Placement program within the Chongqing Foreign Language School. This is NOT the Chongqing Language Institute, but a bonafide Chinese high school with rigorous standards. Arrival time in Chongqing must be Aug. 25 or close to it. Subjects taught will include social studies, basic science and algebra/trigonometry. Having an understanding of at least two of those is strongly recommended. Having experience with AP-level teaching would be great. The first year will NOT include AP courses, but pre-AP courses -- the idea being to bring 10th-grade students up a level where they are ready for AP by the 11th grade.
Pay scale: 15,000-18,000 RMB per month (2500 to 2800 USD) free apartment on/near campus, health insurance and 8,000 RMB flight reimbursement. Paid holidays include Chinese New Year (21 days) and 10 days of paid summer vacation with an option to get 30 days of paid summer vacation upon renewal of contract for the following year
