Located on the southern banks in the middle reaches of the Changjiang River, Jiujiang City is hemmed in by mountains and rivers. It has a population of 300,000, and a pleasant climate.
Jiujiang City was built in the Qin Dynasty. It is one of the important ports in the middle reaches of the Changjiang River, as well as a strategically important area of the past dynasties.
The downtown area of Jiujiang is crisscrossed by lakes and highways. Modern buildings stand one next to another, surrounded by flowers and trees. The city is charming for many places of interest, such as Gantang Lake, and Nengren Temple.
