Stone Dragon in Rain is an announced landscape 6 li in the south away from Xianju, Zhejiang, China. There is a mountain named “Stone Dragon Mountain” with an elevation of about 300 m and extending over 10 li. It looks like a giant dragon with a full dragon head, horns, claws, body and tail. It is said whenever it rains, the image of stone dragon becomes so vivid, which looks like being about to fly. That’s why it is called “Stone Dragon in Rain”.
Near the Stone Dragon there is Enlightenment Temple, which was established in the 8th year of Kaibao Period of Song Dynasty (AD975) in a remote and tranquil environment. In front there is a high ancient Chinese juniper with twisting roots and new green branches. It is as old as 1000 years, known as the First Ancient Tree of Xianju. And there is also the reservoir with green waves surrounded by orchard gardens and luxuriant forests, boasting of a very beautiful landscape and good resort for travelers to rest
