The newly released 2012 New Blue collar Survival Report in Urban China , which is the first of its kind in China, indicates that among the newly rising blue collar group, workers in Shanghai enjoys the highest salary in China, reaching 3479 yuan per month.
The new blue-collar refers to skilled urban workers, not the physical works. The report shows that the average salary of the new blue collar is 2,684 yuan per monthly. The highest pay of jobs in beijing are cooks, hairdressers, drivers, Yuesao; in Chong Qing is cartographer Surveyor and mechanics in Dalian, the foreman in Changchun, courier in Shenzhen.
The report also shows that more and more highly educated people are beginning to participate in the new blue-collar workforce.
