Featuring the unique and valuable scenery of tropic rainforests and cultures of various ethnic groups such as the Dai, Xishuangbanna is a national-level key comprehensive scenic area for sightseeing and launching scientific and cultural activities. It has more than 120 scenic points in 19 scenic areas in the city, and has two subordinate counties and some scenic points in its outskirts.
