on the way to the battlefield, Di Qing stopped at a temple. “I am going to seek divination from the temple god,” he told his soldiers. “I’ll toss three coins. Heads we win; tails we lose.”

The soldiers agreed. His lieutenant tried to dissuade him for fear that the morale would get worse if the outcome should not be favorable, but Di Qing refused.

kneeling before the statue of the temple god, he prayed earnestly. Then he tossed three coins into the air. Clink! It is all heads!

The soldiers  cheered and the morale of the army was lifted. The army fought fearlessly and routed the enemy.

It must be the will of the heaven"lieutenant said. “Nobody can change fate.”

"True,Nobody can change fate,” agreed General Di Qing. Then he produced the coins he used for divination: both sides were heads.
