the magnificent peak ---Qomolangma

    Qomolangma the world well-known peak and the main peak of Himalayas with an attitude of 8848.13 meters enjoying the fame of "the ridge of the world" and the third pole in the world. Qomolangma is transliterated from the name of a Goddess in the sutra in Tibetan and the mount lies at the central Himalayas on the border of China and Nepal. The mountain peak is capped with snow throughout the year, and the mountain body is in a pyramid form. A saintly vision is presented with large-scaled valleys and glaciers distributed around the peak in a radial shape, among which there are 18 with the length of over 10km.

     In front of the glaciers, there are endless rows of icy tower at the root of Qomolangma, which is a unique glacier form best reserved in the world. Seeing as far as you can on the glacier of 5800 meters, it is completely white everywhere. There are numerous genius works created by the nature, such as the rocks of distinct gradation like the ancient castle, masses of stelae, stalamite, rock sword and towers formed by weathered rocks stretching for a thousand miles with different shapes. At the root of Qomolangma is Rongbu Temple, the temple with highest altitude above sea level, which is the best position to view Qomolangma. The linear distance between it and Qomolangma is 25 kilometers.

     Because the India plate is driving down to the Euro-Asian plate at the speed of 0.508cm per year, the whole Himalayas Mountain is raised continuously. The climate from April to June is the most suitable for climbing. It has become a high aspiration for the climbers to overcome the first peak of the world and have a bird's eye view of the splendid landscape.
