Located in scenic Guilin, a world-famous tourist destination and a city rich in Chinese history and culture£¬Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) is a state university covering an area of about 1,200 acres. It is divided into three campuses: the East campus, the West Campus, and the Yaoshan campus.
Since its inception, GUET has gradually developed into a university with Electronic Information as its main discipline. The university¡¯s 16 schools and departments offer 38 under-graduate programs, 24 post-graduate programs, and six state-funded programs. Flexible modules are available to full-time and part-time students seeking a certificate, Bachelor¡¯s, or Master's degree. Distinguished students in select fields can enter one of the new practical and rigorous doctorial programs.
GUET holds an international reputation for teaching and research excellence. The research groups have won 97 national awards on scientific research and published 4070 thesises during the past five years, nearly 400 of which were accepted by SCI, Ei.Now there are about 500 scientific research projects.
GUET enrolls students from all parts of China as well as students from Hong Kong, Macao and various other foreign countries. Currently there are more than 20,000 students studying at the university.
Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) has been attaching great importance to the introduction of foreign scholars. Each year, GUET offers 12-15 English language-teaching posts to the native English speakers. We also welcome foreign experts who specialize in Information Technology, Material Engineering, Bioengineering, Machinery Engineering, Industrial Design, and Business Management to take a long-term teaching here.
