Quality Manager
Professional Objective Ensure all projects/products developed or sourced by EAST meet R&D specifications, Success Criteria and global product quality standards to be achieved by designing, implementing and continually improving Quality Systems within EAST and at Suppliers and Contract Packers Key Accountabilities Work with EA Regional Quality Management to develop the Quality strategy and set challenging goals and KPI's to improve quality performance in the EA region Work with SSG, R&D (both Category and Eng-Tech), Global Regulatory and Packaging to minimise or eliminate quality risk throughout the design and development process using tools including FMEA Develop and continually improve the Quality Systems within EAST and at Suppliers and Copackers by clearly defining the key activities required to prevent quality issues and ensure R&D specifications are consistently met. Arrange and carry out an audit programme to assess the quality capability (as well as GMP, GMS and other H&S requirement) of key Suppliers and Copackers. Publish reports clearly identifying issues affecting product quality Ensure Suppliers and Copackers develop and implement effective and timely corrective action plans to address deficiencies and follow up to ensure preventative actions are also implemented To work with Sourcing to ensure Quality is a key criteria for the selection of Suppliers and Copackers Main Activities To clearly define method and frequency of inspecting incoming materials, in-process testing and finished goods testing Audit and approve Quality Systems at Suppliers and Copackers, including their ability to meet GMP, GMS standards / H&S requirement and implement sufficient process controls to ensure consistent product quality Develop training programmes with Suppliers and Copackers to ensure understanding of required testing and inspection, correct implementation of GMP's and appropriate response to quality issues Ensure that products are checked by EAST to appropriate quality control procedures. Publish inspection reports Manage the Quality Test Lab and sample stores, including setting goals, measuring performance and managing the team To work with local SSG, R&D, Engineering, TPL's and Global QA on project design and development. Contribute to a smooth hand-over from design to manufacture To work with selling country QM/Packaging manager on product improvement/customer complaint, from shipment release to corrective action follow up Evaluate non-conforming product, decide suitability for sale ensuring that the customer and consumer is represented in the decision (may require consultation with Global QA and/or SSG and/or Category R&D and/or Eng-Tech), determine actions required to manage non-conforming product that has already left the manufacturing site, determine and drive corrective action and ensure preventative actions are implemented Network with other Quality groups in the organisation to understand and share best quality practices, share learning's from quality issues and share preventative actions Publish reports summarising quality performance of EAST including audit results of Suppliers and Copackers Ensures compliance to Global Quality Manuals i.e. Persalt Manual, Aerosol Manual etc and other Global QA policies and procedures i.e. Product Standards etc Identify main consumer issues and drive improvement to resolve Provide statistical evidence of Quality performance, focusing on areas requiring improvement. Managing TDS system and provide training to vendor/co-packer. As a member of the Supply Chain Leadership team, participating in the setting of East Asia Sourcing Supply Chain Strategy and objectives, and supporting their achievements Education and Experience University Degree in a technical subject (science, engineering, technology etc) 5+ years experience in quality management role with responsibility for a manufacturing site's product quality Fluency written and spoken in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) Experience at working with SSG, R&D, Packaging, Manufacturing, Engineering etc to improve formulae, packages and gadgets based on strong product knowledge and knowledge of high risk factors to quality is an advantage Demonstrated ability to use FMEA to reduce or eliminate product quality issues and drive improvement Strong auditing skills with experience in conducting external factory audits to assess performance against appropriate Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices Experienced in the application of process capability studies to assess capability to meet specification and how to use SPC to maintain process stability Good understanding of how to select appropriate measurement systems for variables and attributes including how to apply AQL's and sampling plans Strong knowledge of root cause analysis techniques (Ishikawa, flowcharting, pareto) Aware of relevant regulatory standards that impact product quality for the markets in which products sourced by EAST will be sold i.e. applicable FDA regs, EU regs, Health Canada, TGA (AUS), KFDA Knowledge of injection moulding, blow moulding & electronics assembly will be an advantage If you are interested in this job, please be free to contact us by teachcn@yahoo.com.cn |
